Robert M. Currey - President
Robert M. Currey founded the organization in 1981 after working in various capacities within the commercial insurance industry. Mr. Currey is a nationally recognized authority on issues impacting the risk management profession. His writings have been published in numerous risk management publications and formed a portion of the curriculum of the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) program. He is a graduate of Boston University and Suffolk University Law School and has been a member of the Massachusetts and Federal Bars since 1977. Among his publications are The American Journal of Risk Management and The AJRM Market Bulletin. In 25 years, he has built one of the most respected insurance consulting firms in the country.

Kathleen M. Nickerson - Senior Vice President
Kathleen M. Nickerson has 23 years experience in the risk management field. She manages the firm's Property and Casualty Division and is the lead consultant with many of our clients in the real estate and hospitality industries. Ms. Nickerson is a graduate of Aquinas with continued study from both Bentley and Northeastern University. She is a highly respected professional in the field of corporate risk management and has appeared on the Jim Lehrer Report on PBS to discuss the insurance ramifications resulting from the 9-11 tragedy. In addition, Ms. Nickerson has presented and participated in seminars on many insurance and risk management topics including the NMHC Property/Risk Management Forum.

Vera Jordan - Senior Risk Management Consultant
Vera Jordan has been with Robert M. Currey & Associates, Inc for 12 years. Ms. Jordan works in diverse areas of risk management with an emphasis on financial institutions, manufacturing facilities and non-profit organizations. She has particular expertise in the environmental area and has lectured and written extensively on the subject. Ms. Jordan also leads the team performing the insurance due diligence for equity investors in domestic and cross-border transactions. She has an Associate in Risk Management designation, a Masters Degree from Boston College and a Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the University of Massachusetts.

Brett J. Holmgren - Risk Management Consultant
Brett J. Holmgren joined Robert M. Currey & Associates, Inc. in 2002. Mr. Holmgren is a graduate of the College of Wooster in Ohio and a Cum Laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School where he received distinguished honors in Insurance, Contracts and Negotiation for Lawyers. Mr. Holmgren works in diverse areas of risk management with an emphasis on contract compliance and review, liability analysis and emergency response planning/business continuity. Mr. Holmgren has participated in Department of Homeland Security Site Assessment Visits and in RAND studies advocating for High Rise Building Preparedness. He was recently honored with the Chairman's Award from the Illinois Security Chiefs Association for Emergency Response Planning and Fire Life Safety and is a frequent panelist speaking on emergency response and business continuity challenges throughout the country, including an Avian Flu Forum and at the Law Seminars International Commercial Real Estate Leases conference. His collaborative emergency response work has been recognized by insurance carriers as the benchmark for evaluating high-rise office risk. Mr. Holmgren is a member of the Federal and Massachusetts Bars and is a Licensed Insurance Advisor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Kimberly Mazzocchi - Risk Management Consultant
Kimberly is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross.  Prior to joining Robert M. Currey and Associates, Inc., Kim worked for several years in the technology industry and has a strong understanding of exposures related to the industry.  Kim works in a variety of areas of risk management with a focus on environmental insurance and due diligence for real estate transactions including large private equity firms and financial institutions.  Kim is a Licensed Insurance Advisor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Sue Scanlon has more than twenty years experience in insurance and related fields. Sue worked as a legal assistant in a law firm specializing in insurance issues prior to joining Robert M. Currey and Associates, Inc. in 2000. Since that time, Sue has assumed significant management responsibilities for the insurance portfolios of clients with real estate assets, as well as assisting senior consultants with special projects. Jason Wren is a graduate of the Northeastern University School of Law and holds an undergraduate business degree from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He is a member of the Federal and Massachusetts Bars and is a Licensed Insurance Advisor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Janine Stewart joined Robert M. Currey and Associates, Inc. in 1996. She is a graduate of Aquinas College and had diverse business experience before joining our Firm.
